Deleting your account is your right. You can do it yourself directly inside the app, or send us a request by email and we will complete it for you within 30 days. Either way, your data is removed from our active services and your profile is anonymized.

How to Request Deletion

Choose the method that works best for you:

Method 1 — Delete from inside the app (recommended)

The fastest way. The deletion is processed immediately and you receive a confirmation in the app.

  1. Open the رخصتي / SA Drive app and sign in
  2. Tap ProfileSettingsAccount
  3. Tap Delete Account and confirm

Method 2 — Email request

If you cannot access the app or your account, send us an email from the address registered to your account. We verify your identity and complete the deletion within 30 days (typically 24-48 business hours).

Sign-in with Google or Apple?

Removing the app's access from your Google Account or Apple ID security settings does NOT delete your account in our database. Use Method 1 or Method 2 above to fully delete your data.

What Gets Deleted vs. Retained

When your deletion request is processed, the following data is handled as shown below. This summary is consistent with the Data Retention section of our Privacy Policy.

Deleted

  • Profile image and display name
  • Email address (anonymized — replaced with a non-identifying token)
  • Push notification tokens and registered devices
  • Active subscription (downgraded to free tier)
  • Public leaderboard entries (duel rating, ranks)
  • Chat messages, blocks, reports, and support tickets
  • App settings, exam preferences, daily goals

Retained (anonymized or required by law)

  • Internal audit token (so we can confirm a deletion happened, no PII)
  • Completed match results — kept in anonymized form to protect opponents' history
  • Purchase records — kept as required by Apple, Google, and tax law
  • Aggregated, non-identifying analytics
Subscriptions: Deleting your account does NOT automatically cancel an active subscription billed by Apple or Google. You must cancel from your device's subscription settings (App Store / Google Play). Otherwise you will continue to be billed by the store.

Timeline

  • In-app deletion: Immediate. Your account is deactivated the moment you confirm.
  • Email request: Within 30 days, typically 24-48 business hours after we verify your identity.
  • Backups: Encrypted backups are rotated within 90 days, after which any residual copy is overwritten.

Reactivation

Once your account is deleted, signing back in with the same Google or Apple identity creates a brand-new account. The old profile, scores, ratings, and history cannot be restored. If you change your mind, please contact support before requesting deletion.

Your Rights Under Law

Depending on where you live, you have additional rights you can exercise alongside deletion:

  • Saudi Arabia (PDPL): Right to be informed, access, correct, delete, and withdraw consent.
  • EU/EEA (GDPR Article 17): Right to erasure ("right to be forgotten") and right to data portability.
  • Turkey (KVKK No. 6698): Right to learn whether personal data is processed and request its deletion.
  • To exercise any of these rights, use the email request method above and state which right you are exercising.
